Narendra Modi in Bihar Election, Why Bihar is Important?

All eyes in India are turned on the electoral contest in Bihar. The country's third most populous state has over 100 million people who are overwhelmingly rural and poor. Though its economy has registered an average of nearly 10 percent growth annually since 2005, the state's gross domestic product (GDP) per capita is the lowest in the nation, and its poverty rate is the second highest. Why

BJP is going to town in Bihar, literally ...

With the Bihar elections less than a month away, the bitter contest between the BJP-led NDA and the grand alliance of the Janata Dal-United, the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress is at its peak. But amid all the drama, one curious question is why this poll results hold so much importance of the Modi-led BJP.

Rajya Sabha power

The BJP doesn't have the brute majority it has in the Lok Sabha in the Upper House. Bihar sends 16 members to the Rajya Sabha. Winning Bihar can lead to more BJP RS MPs and therefore no fear of the UPA for the Modi government to move pro-investor legislation.one thing that should be clear that the 40 seat of Rajya sabha that the bihar has will not go on polls together or will make any impact in

Rajya sabha in near future so this just a imagination but for sure the NDA has to be ready for the hard Landing that it will not have a clear majority as always this election has again become the same between the caste and lower and upper caste so even once Bihar can't think about the Development leader love to attack each other never say about the development.

In Bihar election castism will play an important role. No party has revealed their development agenda. Only personal attacks and nothing else. Our leaders should lean a lesson from the US leaders. They debate openly and propose their programmes for the welfare of their citizens. They never abuse each others like our leaders.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement that there would be a relook at the reservation policy created much alarm not only among the OBCs, but also among the SCs and STs. Some hitherto Ati Pichhrha castes have been given the status of STs by the Nitish Kumar government. The prime minister, despite insistence and expectations, did not clarify his stand on Bhagwat's remarks. Lalu Yadav got a shot in the arm and he played it to the hilt through humour, sarcasm and his rhetoric of social mutiny against Brahminical supremacy.

“The Nitish-BJP or Nitish-Sushil Modi combination was like Dharam Veer, says Jaiswal, referring to Manmohan Desai’s Dharmendra-Jeetendra blockbuster of the late ‘70s. But “the day they parted, things started declining”.

Manoj Kumar Jaiswal owns two cinemas, Sangeet Cinema and Payal Talkies, that stand next to each other in the same complex, off the busy Chhatauni Chowk. “I have started carrying my revolver again,” he announces, in a matter of fact way. He has dusted his .32 caliber “in the last one-and-half year or so”, or ever since Nitish Kumar took the support of Lalu Prasad’s RJD to keep his government going after his break-up with the BJP.
