AIADMK has gained ground in 3,797 seats, of which 2,516 are town panchayat, 850 municipalities councilors, 245 town panchayats chairpersons, 96 municipal corporations councilors and 36 municipalities chairpersons. The political party has also won 53 panchayat union wards.
