A small airplane carrying British tourers went down near the famed Nazca Lines in Republic of Peru on Saturday, killing all six people aboard, police said. Four British tourists and two Peruvians were killed when their plane was crashed in the vicinity of the famous Nazca lines in Peru.The victims constituted three men and a woman — and the airplane pilot and co-pilot, both Peruvian. Cessna apparently had engine problems that led to crash in a field, reports Police Chief Alfredo Coronel. Police were working to recover bodies.
Nazca lines, mysterious geoglyphs etched into the desert centuries ago by indigenous groups, is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the most important tourist attractions of Peru.
